Series Summary
I like to think of this series as lucky vs. unlucky. Pheonix hasn't performed all that well this year, but they've somehow managed to accumulate a tonne of points. Detroit, on the other hand has performed well, however they nearly missed the playoffs. Many pundits suggested that Detroit was the team you didn't want to have to play (16-3 2OTL in March/April). However, we should be careful not to complete discount Phoenix off the bat, they have a pretty good defense/goaltending and Detroit has had trouble scoring all year.
